Temper

Temper is a unique phase distortion plugin that redefines distortion. Unlike traditional clipping, Temper uses a phase distortion algorithm to provide a wide range of distortion flavors. Its three controls - Curve, Drive, and Saturation - allow you to shape the distortion to your liking. The Drive control ranges from -10 to 10, and when set to zero, no distortion is applied. The Saturation and Curve settings influence the type of distortion applied. Additionally, the Cutoff control sets the frequency of the low-pass filter, and the Resonance control adjusts emphasis, adding a touch of harmonic excitement. Temper features a spectrum analyzer that displays both dry and wet signals concurrently, allowing you to visually understand its impact on your audio. While it might not be the go-to for guitars or drum busses, Temper excels with electronic instruments and music styles.
