Filtercrusher

FilterCrusher is a collaboration between Bedroom Producers Blog and Audio Assault, resulting in a dual tube filter plugin designed for mixing and sound design purposes. The plugin features a pair of resonant filters and a modelled tube preamp circuit for subtle tube saturation. An additional "crush" mode boosts the input gain, resulting in audible tube-style distortion. The emulated tube circuit can range from the mildest saturation to full overdrive, adding a bit of analog touch and helping to even out the dynamics of the processed signal. The plugin also steps into the distortion category when the "crush" mode is engaged, perfect for more aggressive sound results. FilterCrusher uses the same tube preamp modelling algorithms as those in Audio Assault's commercial guitar amplification software. This plugin is available in 32-bit and 64-bit VST and AU formats for Windows and Mac OS X based host applications. It features adjustable 12 dB high and low pass resonant filters, zero latency, and is optimized for low CPU usage.
